Physical activity

Physical activity can impact the way we feel. Going for walks, lifting weights and other forms of physical activity allow us to disconnect from society. Exercise has shown to reduce anxiety and depression as well as improving self confidence.

As hard as it may be to wake up, working out in the morning before work or other obligations allows us to get a jumpstart on our day and increases productivity. Exercise classes, going on walks with friends or having some quiet time to exercise alone are all beneficial to our mental health. Vitamin D and fresh air promote health and a general sense of well-being.

Creating goals or fun challenges like walking or jogging a certain distance in a week or building up to a certain number of reps for weights is one way to motivate yourself. It is important to make it fun and accessible because we all deserve to feel good!

In these uncertain times of the COVID-19 crisis, your mental health and well-being are more important than ever.

Many of our practitioners are happy to conduct video, FaceTime or telephone sessions in order to provide you with safe and effective continuity of care.
