Maud Purcell’s vast experience informed Life Solution Center development
After college, Maud Purcell entered the corporate world. She quickly realized that her interest was less about the specifics of her job, and more about what motivated others to come to work each day. Ultimately, she pursued a graduate degree with the goal of becoming a psychotherapist. Her education, coupled with her corporate experience, also led her into consulting with companies like Hewlett Packard, Duracell and Times Mirror, Inc.
Together, Maud’s consulting and psychotherapy practices informed her understanding of what encourages health and wellness in individuals, families and organizations. She realized two important principles:
- We all experience problems in living, and our conundrums – and their solutions – are not always about pathology. Sometimes we need information or additional services in order to improve our lives.
- When we are in trouble we often lack the wherewithal to advocate for ourselves. Furthermore, we don’t have the time or energy to research other services we might need or vet professionals who perform those services.
In short, Maud recognized that when people are in trouble they often need coordinated help from a variety of vetted and competent professionals, hence The Life Solution Center was born.
The Life Solution Center offers many different services for a wide array of needs. Based on a patient’s specific issues, Maud created a tailored-to-fit team of LSC professionals. With the patient’s permission, Maud and the team can discuss that individual's needs and tweak the plan – or the team – as needed. Time and time again, this approach has resulted in the most effective and efficient results for her patients.
